The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education has released the 2024 Master Facilities Plan (MFP) Annual Supplement, pursuant to D.C. Official Code § 38-2803, in partnership with the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), the DC Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB), the Office of the State Superintendent (OSSE), and the Department of General Services (DGS).
The 2024 MFP Supplement provides a data update to the comprehensive 2023 Master Facilities Plan, including new information on:
- SY2024-25 facility capacity and utilization, and plans for DCPS facilities that are under- or over-utilized;
- DCPS facility classification; and
- DCPS vacant facility information.
To support longer-term school planning efforts, this supplement also introduces updated 5- and 10-year enrollment projections that incorporate recent birth data and grade progression trends. See Appendix 2 for more detailed information. The DME will continue to update these long-term projections annually moving forward.
