The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME) has commissioned a study that will identify opportunities to establish Washington, DC as a nationally recognized locale for competitive high school sports. The study will assess the current state of high school sports facilities, programming, and coaching development with the goal of creating recommendations to improve the level of, and access to, competitive high school sports. Windsor Athletics Consulting was awarded the contract for the work; the final report will be completed in the fall of 2022.
Stakeholder Virtual Meetings
DME and Windsor Athletics are holding two virtual stakeholder meetings to solicit community and stakeholder feedback on the current findings of the study to help craft final recommendations. The content shared at both meetings are identical, so community members are encouraged to attend just one. The meeting agenda, presentation, and recordings can be found below.
