The DME provided the following memo and presentation to the DC Public Charter School Board to support their review of the 2019 public charter school applications, in particular the Board's assessment of demonstrated need. The information included focuses on how the applicant schools intersect with the current supply of public schools (DCPS and public charters), and the relevant number of public school students now and in the future. The analysis primarily focuses on the seven applications that include middle and high school grades as well as the four specialized program applications.
