DOH’s School Nurse Program
In partnership with Children’s National Medical Center, the District Department of Health (DOH) is able to provide school nurses to many of the District’s public schools.

DMH’s School Mental Health Program
Clinicians from the Department of Mental Health provide services to students in a growing number of public schools, offering prevention, early intervention, and clinical services to youth and their families. DDOT’s School Crossing Guard Program

Statewide Commission on Children, Youth and their Families’ Evidence-Based Programs
The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME) operates the Statewide Commission on Children, Youth and their Families (SCCYF), which pilots evidence-based programs in schools. DC moves forward with Race to the Top Phase 2 Interview Invitation. DC’s application will move forward in Phase 2 of President Obama’s Race to the Top Fund. Of the 36 states that applied, only 19 will interview as finalists. Two states, Tennessee and Delaware, were awarded grants in Phase I. For more details visit seo.dc.gov.
