Change in Walk Distance between Current and New Boundaries by Ward

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

This table shows the walkable distance from students' homes to their current school of right and new assigned school of right by ward of students’ residences. The walkable distance is the distance measured taking current roads and infrastructure into account, as opposed to calculating the straight line between home and school. The walkable distance was calculated at the 25th, 50th, and 75th percentiles in order to measure the impact of students having an already shorter walker distance (25th percentile), a longer distance (75th percentile), and the median distance (50th percentile).
