To understand the experiences of young people who graduate from the District’s public and public charter school system, The Office of Education Through Employment Pathways (ETEP) conducted the Alumni Early Career Outcomes Survey. This survey posed questions about education, employment, and quality-of-life outcomes for alumni who graduated from DC public and public charter schools in the classes of 2017-2019.

This report examines the evolution of career-oriented programming for youth in the District of Columbia through a historical analysis of vocational education as well as an analysis of current program offerings and alignment with high-demand, high-wage roles that do not require a college degree.

The Office of Education Through Employment Pathways examined University of the District of Columbia (UDC) program offerings and alignment with wage and talent demand in a report entitled, "Pathways to Opportunity: Alignment between University of the District of Columbia Programming and Labor Market Demand."

The "2024 ETEP Annual Report" highlights key accomplishments from the first year of the Office of Education Through Employment Pathways. This report focuses on progress in four major bodies of work - research, data governance, engagement, and technology. 

Based on engagement in spring 2024, the Office synthesized key feedback and how this input will inform our work, "Community Engagement Findings Report"

Our April 2024 analysis on access to Career and Technical Education courses in the District, "18% of DC Students in High School, Alternative, and Adult Programs Are Taking CTE Courses," and its appendix.
