Marta Urquilla is a Partner at America Achieves/Results for America, leading work to identify policy opportunities for investing in results-oriented social solutions and to document successes and learnings on what works in education. Previously, she served in the Obama Administration as Senior Policy Advisor in the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation and as Senior Advisor for Social Innovation at the Corporation for National and Community Service. She focused on evidence-based policy, financing tools, and public-private partnerships to maximize federal resources and drive investment toward effective solutions to our nation’s social problems. Marta co-led the development and launch of several White House initiatives, including the Social Innovation Fund, Pay for Success, and Summer Jobs+. She served on President Obama’s Presidential Transition Team, as a member of the Technology, Innovation and Government Reform working group. An Echoing Green Fellow, Marta has designed successful programs to build youth leadership and connect communities to economic opportunity. She serves on the board of directors of the Latin American Youth Center. Marta graduated from Duke University and lives in Washington, DC with her family.
