Sharona Robinson is a native Washingtonian and graduate of Ballou High School. She is the mother of four children who attend DC public schools in Wards 6, 7, and 8. She also believes her children should be involved in their school communities and as a result they are involved in several school sports and activities at their schools. Sharona is an advocate for children and families east of the river, especially in Ward 8. Outside of being a parent, Sharona is serving her 3rd year as the PTSA President at Ballou High School, Secretary of the Ward 8 Education Council, Education Chair for Ironsn7sfire, Inc., Secretary for the Ballou School Community Council, and member of the Local School Advisory Team (LSAT) at Ballou High School and Jefferson Academy Middle School. She has also served as the PTA Vice President at Jefferson Academy Middle School during the 2012 – 2013 school-year. She is a former DCPS employee and is presently working in the education sector to ensure schools are safe for all children. Sharona believes all children deserve a quality education no matter where they reside or the economic background of their family.
